A first step toward a daily record
PMDD self-check
Do your symptoms look like a pattern worth tracking? This free self-check takes about 2 minutes.
This is not a diagnosis. Only a clinician can diagnose PMDD.
Think about the week before your period over the last few cycles.
Your answers stay on this page. Nothing is saved or sent.
Your next step
Track your symptoms daily for 2 cycles
How this works
This is our own self-check, not a clinical test or a named questionnaire. It looks for a pattern worth tracking.
- We count how many of items 1–11 you marked “A lot.” At least one of items 1–4 must be “A lot” for the first result below.
- Five or more, with at least one of items 1–4, plus “Yes” to A and B: “Your answers fit the pattern clinicians look for.”
- If that rule does not fit, two or more “A lot” answers, or one with “Yes” to A: “Some of your answers fit the pattern.”
- All other answers: “Your answers don't show a strong premenstrual pattern.”
- “No” to A with two or more “A lot” answers adds a note about other possible causes.
- “A lot” on item 1 or “Yes” to C shows safety support, even if other answers are missing. C never changes your result.
A clinician needs a daily record and a full review of your health to tell what is causing your symptoms.
